The story of Bambillas
In 2017, after living in Argentina, the mate ritual remained as an obvious truth: a moment of sharing, concentration and gentle energy.
Back in France, my metal bombilla eventually broke. Rather than ordering another, I chose to make one myself, from bamboo.
That is how the first Bambilla was born.
Over time, I made them for friends and family. Some adopted it for mate, others for tea or herbal infusions. The object intrigued, was appreciated, circulated. Gradually, the idea of a small artisan production took shape.
Today, Bambillas offers handmade bamboo bombillas, conceived as simple, natural and durable objects, in service of a ritual.
